Travel to, from, and inside Medellín

In collaboration with the Municipality of Medellín, WUF7 is pleased to provide WUF7 Participants  with the online Booking centre to facilitate planning your travel to Medellín. Registered participants will receive a discount code on flight reservations.

Thanks to the support from the City of Medellín, all registered WUF7 Participants will receive a complimentary Tarjeta Civica, with unlimited use on the Medellin Metro during the World Urban Forum, from April 5-11. Participants are responsible for their travel to and from Colombia.
 Transportation from the airport is provided to participants staying in selected hotels, listed on the Booking centre page. Medellín’s Jose Maria Córdoba International Airport is located in the nearby city of Rionegro (approximately 45 to 60 minutes away from the WUF7 venue). International non-stop flights are available from Caracas, Quito, Lima, Curacao, Panama, San Jose, San Salvador, Mexico City, Miami, New York and Madrid.

30 minute flight from Bogotá
1 hour flight from Cartagena and Barranquilla (Colombia), Panama City and Quito (Ecuador)
2 hour flight from San Jose (Costa Rica) and Caracas (Venezuela)
3 hour flight from Miami (USA) and Lima (Peru)
6 hour flight from Buenos Aires (Argentina) and New York (United States)

Transport from Jose Maria Cordova Airport April 4-8, 2014 Operating hours: 7:00 am - 12:30 am

Registered World Urban Forum 7 participants have at their disposal a free transportation service from Jose Maria Cordova International Airport. View the Shuttles page for routes and time intervals.

Between April 1-12, a primary WUF7 Information Point will be available at the following airports between 5 AM and 12 PM:

Olaya Herrera, Medellín
Jose Maria Córdoba, Medellín
El Dorado, Bogotá
Puente Aereo, Bogotá
Additionally, the following bus stations will have primary WUF7 Information Points between 7 AM and 7 PM:
North Transportation Terminal Mariano Espina - Carrera 64C #78-580, Medellín
South Transportation Terminal - Carrera 65 #8B-91, Medellín
